The international workshop Homogeneity out of Heterogeneity: Experimental and Theoretical Research into Cardiac Autoregulation held from 05 to 07 October 2026 in Freiburg, will explore a seemingly simple, yet remarkably challenging concept – namely how the externally uniform performance of the heart arises from spatially and temporally heterogeneous activity of cells and tissue constituents at nano-, micro-, and macro-scales.

The workshop will be hosted by the Institute for Experimental Cardiovascular Medicine Universitäts-Herzzentrum Freiburg • Bad Krozingen.
